Frequently Asked Questions
What makes 1 on 1 Therapy & Wellness different?
To put it simply, it is the quality of care. Your sessions will always be one-on-one and individualized and will never be a one-size-fits-all program. We value our patients and offer the proper treatment for their specific needs. We are flexible, understanding, and offer therapy that is personalized and unique to you.
Do you accept insurance?
1 on 1 Therapy & Wellness is a cash-based therapy practice. Therefore, private commercial insurance is not accepted. However, we do accept Medicare plans. For commercial insurance, we will provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Note that there is no guarantee you will get a refund from your insurance company.
What are the benefits of working with an out-of-network physical therapist?
Receive highly personalized services
No long waitlist - You no longer have to wait months to see a therapist
Services can be more affordable or comparable to your traditional copay
More freedom to treat your concerns adequately without the limitations of insurance companies
Easy ability to communicate with your therapist outside of scheduled visits
What are your rates?
The cost of your customized treatment plan depends on your diagnosis, individual needs, and insurance plan. We will verify your insurance benefits before beginning treatment to ensure affordable care. We practice complete price transparency, so there are no surprises.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No. Patients have direct access to physical therapy and occupational therapy, meaning they can see a therapist without having a referral or prescription from a doctor.
What will my first session look like?
Your first visit will be about an hour and include a comprehensive evaluation assessing your current functional deficits, pain level, strength, flexibility, and balance. After the assessment, you will receive proper treatment based on your needs. Your therapist will establish a personalized treatment plan and expectations for recovery.
